Jigsaw Puzzle Storage And Display

This is something like we have at present:

We have separated the 2 pieces and only use one section. It has a bottom and 2 shelves above - the highest shelf is about a 3 year olds height and is used for jigsaw puzzles and threading. So we basically can only stack jigsaws one on top of the other which is not appealing as you cannot really see what is on there - for instance we are starting with peg puzzles and we would love to set them on their edge but of course all the pegs fall out! We have small 2 and 3 piece puzzles in little see through boxes with a picture on the outside to show how the finished article should look. As we are into the beginning of the year we only have about half a dozen on each shelf with a threading box on the bottom shelf and another 2 peg boards in there too.

 

This item of furniture is bulky, not appealing and has a small table with 1 chair to the one end of it. We are just not certain if this is ideal but of course it was bought before we came and our room is small. Ideally I would love something that displays things better but we have to work with what we have! What do you have and how to you display your jigsaw puzzles/threading that we could maybe think about changing. We have another smaller 2 shelf table right beside this bookshelf which holds our music items (in a box) and CD player with cds.

Hadn't considered displaying them. Ours are in hanging bags with a hook thing on them on a mini clothes hanging rail. Each bag has the picture of the jigsaw on so children can flick through to find one they fancy.

Ours are not displayed either! We have puzzles, threading etc in a version of this

We have the one with the stepped top so that they can use this surface. We also use our Community playthings large outdoor blocks and planks to make little benches as a change from tables!

I think they were what fitted our budget at the time. It's been good as you can buy extra boxes for general storage and just swap which boxes you put into the trolley! Very useful as were are a "packaway" set up
