If you look at the notes on the element it tells you that 'facilitative techniques' could include prompting, suggesting actions etc. So for instance, if you are carrying out an observation on a child's physical development and want to see how well they can hop, skip, jump etc. then you could show them what you mean by demonstrating yourself, as they might not have the vocabulary to understand what you are asking of them otherwise.
