Guest Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am in a school where we have a Nursery that take 3 to 4 year olds for the Academic year, mornings or afternoons. We are working on an end of year report to parents, but we are not sure what we should do. Would anyone mind sharing their ideas with me? Thanks so much,
Guest Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Hi Fionas, I am in the same boat. I have 7 children leaving my Nursery for School and I need to do a transition report for the Reception teacher. I also need to do a year end report for each of myl 26 children I have on my books. This will be the first time I have done anything like this, and would love to get it right. I will have only been with the children for 2 terms at the end of this summer term but, I have got to know them all very well. For the report, I was going to start and look at the F.S.S.S. for each child, to see which they have been able to achieve and then put this into the report. I wouldn't list all of them as this would be boring for the parents and some may not know about these stepping stones anyway. I have a transition report form to fill in, which was passed to me by my LEA, and I was going to use the same layout for the childrens end of year report. Sorry I carn't be of much help, hope someone comes along soon for you.

Guest Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Thanks Peggy and Kap for your replies. Our existing report is very much like yours Peggy.........its just that we dont need the top part as our children head straight to our Reception rather than changing schools. Thanks again. Any other formats would be greatly appreciated, thanks
Guest Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Hi Fiona, Im in a nursery within a school and we have written reports exactly how foundation 2 have. We wrote about each child for each of the six areas of learning. We included what they can do and what they have looked at this year.
Guest Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Hi, thanks very much for your reply. What is your format? Is it an A4 sheet or a booklet?
