Research For Dissertation

Hi

Im studying for my ba in early years and for my dissertation i have decided to do television viewing and the effect it has on childrens development,please can anyone tell me if they know of any current research on the topic or any other literature websites that i may find useful x

And recently there has been the 'spongebob' research into the effects of fast-paced children's television on cognitive function. I'll try and find a link. Also there is some research just about to be published saying that so-called educational programming for children has little or no educational benefit.

There is something in this months Early Years Update... The Dfe have recently published a research project 'Investigating the Role of Language in Children's Early Educational Outcomes'

 

The link published in Early Years Update didn't work for me... but i searched the report and came up with the web addresses below.

I had a quick scan, the data reports were as confusing as ever, but key findings on page 38 may give you a quote or two!
