Guest MaryEMac
With regard to stick insects, they are a brilliant source of interest to pre-schoolers, but beware, they reproduce at a phenominal rate. We started out with 3 (Tilly,Tom and Tiny) who rapidly became approx 500. In the end I advertised in the local paper for people to take them off our hands. The local TV station picked it up and we were on the telly. The experience was good for the children because in the space of a week they saw a stills photographer at work and then a TV camera (quite surprising how many stood stock still for the TV camera!). I hope your children enjoy them, ours certainly did.
