Guest
Hi all I am in the process of revamping our planning process for all age groups within our setting - trying to move away from planning for what adults want out towards what children want out. I still want to run a topic alongside child-led planning but to focus more on individual interests in the daily plans. Just wanted some input on my new sheet. It shows the adult-initiated activities for the week and has space for keyworkers to add activities for their individual children. What do you think? New_planning_sheet.docx I would really appreciate some feedback and ideas!

We currently use quick obs, 1 photo ob and 1 long ob to identify and highlight outcomes in profiles and then complete a 'next step' sheet. Is this too little? Too much? Thanks in advance! AnonyMouse_3735
have changed it to an earlier version of word.. it may work now... It is similar to what we did, just different layout with the days of the week across the top and the areas down the side and then it was filled in each day , we found it easier to see if it was done in daily columns... worked well for us.. ours were always blank on day 1 and by the end full of comments and things added or to be added next day... didn't take long to do and ended up a major part of our planning... any focus activity was separate sheet with more info, and most on this one was shown on a continuous planning sheet for info of what could be covered . Thanks Inge, I have made a few 'tweaks' to the sheet so that there is space for notes and ideas at the bottom. I am planning that staff will add to it throughout the week so that it is much more 'child led' than we have been doing before. I just hope they show the enthusiasum for it that I have!!!
