Guest Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Afternoon everyone, I really need some help to locate a document that I came upon by accident on the internet and now I cant find it and its not in my 'history'!! Everyweek my class and I have a board meeting where we share the things we would like to be doing next week - this document showed which questions you could ask to scaffold the learning and to encourage children to think a little more out of the box. It also gave a list of questions that you could ask during times when children were really engaged in an activity so that you could extend the learning. I have a feeling it was from Ireland although I'm not sure. talk about a challenge on a Sunday afternoon!!!! Nicky
Guest Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Hi This sounds good would you be able to share it please? Thanks G
Guest Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 (edited) Of course - sorry I should have done that when I found it!!! Its called 'Learning through play for KS1 - a resource book'. Its by the Northern Ireland Curriculum. It isn't quite as a remember it but it has some good ideas. There is also one called 'learning through play for the Early years' Nicky Edited November 13, 2011 by nickynooblue
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 It is a fantastic book, and even though it's not the UK system it gives some fantastic ideas and prompts - well worth a read through! I like it better than our system and it's not a 'grass is always greener' sort of thing, it's much more user-friendly
Guest Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Sorry sue - should have said thank you before for posting the link. Nicky
