AnonyMouse_13453
We did a 'planet of the week' and found out about each one and used circles and different techniques to make some fabulous displays. We did paint dripping, spong dabbing, wax resist, salt art, paint scrapes, balloon prints etc and they looked fab!

Guest
Painting / collaging aliens, making up rhyming or alliterative names for them. I've used shapes from a shape sorter to print aliens, using the different shapes for different features. After modelling some examples the children came up with some great aliens. A small world space scene on a tuff spot has gone down a treat with previous classes of mine.

AnonyMouse_13453
Cait - How do you do balloon prints? You blow up a balloon but leave it a bit soft. Put teaspoonfulls of different coloured paint onto a saucer or something so that they can touch each other. Using the tied end of the balloon, plop it onto the paint and the, using two hands, push it down onto the paint, pick it up by the tied end and then push it down onto the paper with two hands - taking care it doesn't suddenly skitter off to one side! You get some lovely colour mixing
