Ofsted Visit Pending

Recommended Posts

Not sure what kind of setting you are, but we had an inspection last Sept.

I felt it was very rushed - and more of a 'tick list' visit - ie: all paperwork in place etc.

She did mention our SEF needed updating (off record)....... but it was obvious she hadn't read it anyway!!!!

Main things she was interested for us was - working with parents.

xx

Ours was May last year....

I was really pleased that my SEF was pretty much 'up to date' - she had read it online but hadn't printed it off - I made sure she took a hard copy away with her - really glad that I did that - quite a bit of the report read as though it was pretty much 'lifted' from my SEF

Other big things were showing how we recorded 'next steps' and how we shared these with parents....safeguarding.....partnerships all round including info sharing with other settings.......

Wish you well with it all

I'll 2nd that our inspector took our hard copy too and it report read similar to it.

Our inspector wanted to know what areas we knew weren't working well and what we were going to do about it, have to confess wasn't particularly good at answering that one!
