Magazine Subscription

Hi all

 

Would love your opinions on which magazine to subscribe to. (e.g. Early Years Educator, Nursery World, Practical Pre-School, Teach Nursery etc).

 

I am in a private nursery with children aged 2 1/2 yrs - 4yr old pre-schoolers.

I'm not familiar with Teach Nursery as that is quite new on the market, but I'm not very impressed with Teach Primary.

I always liked EYE but it used to be cheaper to buy than to subscribe to so do check carefully.

Nursery World and EYE is good for keeping up to date with the latest political and policy developments. Teach Nursery is better for practical day to day stuff for the children

I tend to alternate, 1 year I will have EYE and then the next year I change to Practical Pre-School.

EYE for me and it is cheaper to buy each month rather than subscribe- how is that

I think it depends on the level of the staff you have currently within the team. For practitioners who need practical support, and theory in small chunks, then I'd go for Nursery World. If your practitioners are ready for more challenge and a more theoretical, academic approach, then I'd go for EYE.

Thanks for the replies. Didn't realise you could get them at newsagents too - might help me decide which is best for me if I can have a look at them first!
