AnonyMouse_11653
Hi Can anyone explain (in very simple terms ) how to convert a pdf document into a word document. Not sure if it makes a difference but I have word 2010. Kris

AnonyMouse_35605
Try www.pdftoword.com for easy way to do it.
Steve
I think that's the solution Kris - one of the online converters. You can do it if you have Acrobat Professional but that costs quite a lot of money and is probably not worth it for your needs. Here's another one that will give you a free trial for an online converter without you needing to install any software. Alternatively you could PM me your word file and I'll convert it for you. Guest
Alternatively you could PM me your word file and I'll convert it for you. That might result in you getting deluged! Will it be another membership perk?
Steve
No guarantees as to responsiveness Holly, but I'm happy to do it when I've got time! :1b
AnonyMouse_11653
Thanks for the replies, will have a go at converting the document and if no joy I may take you up on your offer Steve!! Kris
AnonyMouse_13453
Or you can copy and paste it into word. I've done that several times. Highlight a block of text, press Ctrl C, open a word screen and press Ctrl V. When you are doing your edit clean up, you will find it easier to have the PDF open on one side of the screen and your new document on the other, so you can see what went where. AnonyMouse_11653
Not having any luck as the documents I am trying to convert are security coded to prevent any changes!! Oh well looks like I need to start typing!! Kris
Steve
Can you select the text Kris? If so, try copying and pasting as Cait suggests.
AnonyMouse_3307
i've got adobe x and when I open a pdf it has an option to convert to word under tools (top right hand corner) - if you make sure you have the most uptodate version of adobe you should have that. cx
Steve
So it does. You always used to need Acrobat Professional to do that. Thanks Catma!
