Fundraiser!

Recommended Posts

HI. Im hoping some of you can help... Our nursery is running low on funds and preschool could do with some new resources( mainly storysacks as they are expensive).

I was hoping to do a little fundraiser when the weather cheers up a bit!!! Im not really sure what things i could do?

I have the idea of obviuosly a cake store... A framed photograph made by thre children???

Have any of you done this before and know what goes down well.. anything the kids have made also go down well i suppose.

Is there any ideas for games??

Any ideas will help.

Thanks! X

Hi

we have just got all parents signed permission to take a leavers photograph, we have sold these photos to parents, laminated (extra money) or just photos that we have printed, this made us a few pounds to spend on equipmant that we think the children will like

We're holding a sponsored bounce. No outlay for us, just produced the sponsor forms. Children just have fun bouncing on the trampoline and we give them a sticker to say how many bounces they did.

Good fun and exercise - an element of competition too, for the older ones. We've got about £200 in just this week so far

We did a sponsored roly poly a couple of years back. Like Cait just copied some certificates, no outlay, just used our large crash mat. We raised almost £600.

Note to self, must do this again soon :1b

Going off subject a little............We found that making our own Story Sacks was a very successful and cheap alternative to buying new, finding resources from charity shops etc. We have made about 10, including Handra's Surprise and Owl Babies and also nursery rhyme sacks. Saving money for those bigger buys which we cannot make ourselves!

When we fundraise for Children In Need, Red Nose Day etc we always find that sponsored events raise more money than anything else. Encourage parents to take sponsor forms to work and pass round the family. Remember to choose something that doesn't have much outlay for you, to maximise the money you make. Good luck!
