I have an interview next week for a EYFS teacher but they are asking me to teach an hours lesson for Y1 with a creative writing focus topic of my choice.

Just wondering if anyone had any advice or ideas about what i can do! my mind is swimming at the moment, i haven't taught this age group since my teaching practice and only really know EYFS!

i want to stay true to my ideas of play based teaching and learning. so i was thinking about re-telling/ acting out a story rather than reading it to start the lesson off, or wondered about starting a story off and ending at a door and using describing words to write sentences about what could be behind the door? or maybe a box with a label saying do not open and taking about where the box came from whats inside.

any help would be greatly received

Thanks in advance
