Guest Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 I think I really do need a holiday here as even though I have gone through new eyfs where does it mention mobile phone policies? Think I must be goin made and does anyone have the link for the new ofsted inspection process directly from Ofsted? Thank you
AnonyMouse_3307 Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) It's in the safeguarding section p13 3.4 Providers must be alert to any issues for concern in the child’s life at home or elsewhere. Providers must have and implement a policy, and procedures, to safeguard children. These should be in line with the guidance and procedures of the relevant Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB). The safeguarding policy and procedures must include an explanation of the action to be taken in the event of an allegation being made against a member of staff, and cover the use of mobile phones and cameras in the setting. Think this is the Ofsted page. http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/resources/using-early-years-evaluation-schedule-guidance-for-inspectors-of-registered-early-years-settings-req Edited July 26, 2012 by catma

Guest Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Hi Here in Norfolk we have been provided with a Safeguarding document and this has been one of the topics that has been highlighted from the Plymouth Serious Case Review. The new document has guidance on how we should deal with all aspects of safeguarding from recruitment, policies and training. Other counties may be doing something like this and it may be worth check with your early years advisior, however in our world of tech and what happened in plymouth it is good pratice to have a policy on this matter
