Alternative To Cuddly Dudley?

Hi, at our preschool we have been using Cuddly Dudley (penguin) as our special teddy who goes home with a different child each week and the parents tell us of his experiences. I am looking for a new story book that we can use the main character from. Does anyone have any suggestions please. Preferably a book which involves an adventure/travel etc. Thank you.
