Observation Clips For Staff Training

HI,

 

I need to find a good quality clip of children playing (0-5years) to enable me to use as part of my staff training. Basically I want the staff to watcha clip, observe. assess, then plan next steps. Struggling to find a clip,

any suggestions?

Have you come across Siren Films? They have really great DVDs full of clips, with accompanying notes that you can use for training. They are expensive, however, but maybe you could get together with a couple of other settings locally and start a library!

If you are on facebook, the Aussies Early Years Learning Framework https://www.facebook.com/eylfplp have some short films. They are quite good because they are not meant to be outstanding practice, so make for good conversation

thanks for the suggestions guys was planing to look into this more closely in September you have saved me a job!!! face book stuff looks good have used tes resources as well, would love to know how to get the face book stuff off facebook and into a training file.

I think the Facebook videos are only for streaming, currycraver, if that's what you mean. Downloading them is probably not what they want and wouldn't be straightforward (at least without using dodgy software, but that would probably break the terms and conditions of their use, not unreasonably).

 

If you have an internet link where you want to show them you could just save the link and run the files as and where you'd need them.
