Guest
Type bears non-fiction in an Amazon search, I got some good ones from there, they are at school so I can't remember the titles. Also got some really nice non-fiction 'writing' (Autumn term in reception so mainly mark making) when they recorded facts they had learnt about bears. The children wrote on paw shaped paper, I also typed out some of their quotes which came from the preceding talk for writing and it made a great first display. I am getting carried away here, another focused task was to paint a bear after we had discussed and described bears, these were displayed randomly around classroom for children to go around classroom on a bearhunt and count the bears - they all looked so different but all had bear attributes (- might just have to encorage their interest in bear direction again...!) Guest
Thank you very much. I love the paw print idea. Yes my first topic is bears, but in the third week I think I would like to do a bit of non-fiction.
