Hi Panders

I'm sure that you don't really want any 'technical support' from me  but.......I won't let that stop me! xD

Are you using IE? I found that I needed to change to Google Chrome.........

Yes I am using IE , will try as you suggest! If all works out well, you may consider yourself my Techie support forever xD

Sorry chaps (and thanks for pointing me at this Susan!). We've had reports of this happening before but never really been able to isolate the problem to one browser/OS or anything else. I'm going to get Matt to have a think about it and see what we can do. Is anyone from this topic still reliably getting the problem? That would be handy as it might be easier to fix if we can reproduce it at will.

I have switched over to googlechrome Steve as my techno guru advised, I will let you know if I continue to have problems. To be fair with IE it was more than often the case that posts were not being posted straightaway but being "saved" for ages, and only infrequently was the post being auto saved

Woohoo 'techno guru' - I've been called many things - but that's a new one..........I rather like it xD  xD

It does have something to do with the autosave feature Helen, which is Javascript. It would be a shame to lose the feature completely, though, as it has saved people's bacon many times. If you can let me know your OS and browser versions that would be useful. :1b
