Guest Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 So then I have £600 gifted to my class by my PTA to revise reading books.... Any suggestions on books? Ideally I wold like decodable books that link with letters and sounds. So when we have taught ' s a t p ' we can send home a book with those sounds in and so on. Is there something out there like that... About to start looking but thought there may be someone on her with some recommendations....
AnonyMouse_4869 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Last year we invested in Phonics bug teaching software and reading books. We find them good as they are decodable and fun. They start ith satp and add in new sounds and tricky words along the way. Lucie
Guest hfitz12 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 We have some Oxford Reading Tree ones that link with the phonemes from letters and sounds.
Guest Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Both of the above are good schemes and it's great to have a mixture of schemes too. Check if your eng co ordinator has spent any of the government match funding cos you'd be able to double your purchase for half the price
AnonyMouse_25084 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I love the phonics bug club books! Project X are great for boys too and Floppy phonics!x
