Songs about eyes and seeing?

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you lovely people could help me please. I am just about to start teaching my nursery children about eyes and how they work. I would love to teach them some simple songs to link in to this learning but am a little stuck! Any suggestions would be great thanks Lou

was going to suggest Jeepers Creepers until I looked at wikipedia, seems it was used in a horror film. The only other one I can think of and the lyrics are on wikipedia is When Irish Eyes are smiling, but it isn't a particularly easy song - first verse not too bad though.

The only one I can think of is the hymn 'He gave me eyes...' ticks all the senses boxes but is quite tricky and I'm not sure if it's appropriate!

Can you use an old favourite "If you're happy and you know it...blink your eyes/wink your eyes/ close your eyes?"

I tried "raise an eyebrow" but don't think this line quite fits in.

I sort of 'chant' most of my singing!!! :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: as I make up songs so much and change them each time to trick the children it always works LOL Sometimes I panic when someone hears me having one of the 'chanting' moments all my staff are used to it. Just love music cds that has the tune so I can make up words. Off to get on the x factor
