AnonyMouse_665
sorry for being so thick. Just going through development matters. Literacy - writing 30-50mths sometimes gives meaning to marks as they draw and paint (I understand this self explanatory) ascribes meanings to marks that they see in different places (what does this actually mean is it not the same as above but in different places) I am sure someone can help have looked in dictionary but still none the wiser. buttercup
AnonyMouse_19782
As it is giving a name to things that they see I am assuming it means logos such as McDonalds, Toysrus etc., or they see you writing their name or they are in a group situation and another child is writing, maybe they say he's making the tickets for the train game we are playing etc. Edited October 24, 2012 by Panders
AnonyMouse_3139
I'd agree with Panders,. I used to have a scrap book with all sorts of cuttings from magazines etc, and it was alwasy lovely to see the children 'read' the logo's from shops, restaurants, TV programmes etc.
