Guest Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Do I need it? I developed a new medium term planning in line with the changes of the revised EYFS. However i've recently reviewed it and think it is insignificant. I cant thing of anything else to add/change to make it significant! Do i need it? I am try to reduce work load (as promised with the reforms). What are your suggestions, if you still use it what does it include, do you have a copy Thank you! Is it Friday yet????
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 we ditched meduim term plans when the EYFS first came in.. we found them all pointless when following childrens interests... 1
Guest Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Thank you Inge! This is what i thought, had several discussions with EYA'S all with different opinions.
AnonyMouse_11396 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 No don't have one, don't want one either.
Guest Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Think mine will be going in the bin as well *happydance*
AnonyMouse_42713 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I have one and it basically builds itself over the term based on the childrens interests, also has any ideas and events but is super basic. We don't have a long term plan so the mediums build up to be the overview of the year at the end of the year, hope that makes sense, tricky to describe!
AnonyMouse_42713 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Here it is, sheet of A4 and other than it building itself through the children and their play, I just jot on it ideas I see and want to try or visitors I hope to get in etc etc Med term.doc

Guest Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Thank you Hoolahoney, that seems to be similar to my long term plan. P
