How true!

One of my members of staff brought this in to show us all - it made us laugh - I think it is so true of many toddlers!!

A TODDLER'S RULE OF POSSESSION

If I like it, it's mine

If it's in my hand, it's mine

If I can take it from you, it's mine

If I had it a little while ago, it's mine

If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way

If I am building something, ALL the pieces are mine

If it looks just like mine, it's mine

If I saw it first, it's mine

If you were playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine

If it's broken, it's yours!!

Peggy first brought this to my attention years and years ago - I always think of her when I see it come round again! Although from memory, the version she posted might have been longer. It briliantly sums up what possession means to a toddler! Love it. :D
