AnonyMouse_6721 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Hi We have got parents offering to be on the committee for the next year. (omg) But some can't make it the the AGM (babysitting issue /working late) Does anyone know if we can nominate people in their absence???? We are PLA constitution / policies / everything. Thanks
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 yes they can put in a declaration and you can vote them in at the meeting. they do not have to be there just forwarded and seconded
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Absolutely. You can also just nominate and second them as a group rather than have to do each one separately. I'm really envious though, ours is in 2 weeks and so far no interest shown
AnonyMouse_6721 Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Thanks for you replies. That helps. I have used the pla application form this year and it has really helped to be a bit more formal this time.
AnonyMouse_3975 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 yes they can put in a declaration and you can vote them in at the meeting. they do not have to be there just forwarded and seconded This is interesting, we have the 2011 PSLA constitution does it say this here?
AnonyMouse_22106 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Grab 'em with both hands before they change their minds, I'd say!! I wouldn't worry in the slightest if they couldn't just make 1 meeting
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Smiles, I always go to our local PLA AGM and thats exactly how they do it if the person cant be there. I just follow what they do!
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Just to be on the safe side make sure you give them a self nomination form to fill in.
