Guest Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Hello everyone I am trying to devise a list of ideas for things to put in our builders tray in the UW area to help us when we are planning and our minds go blank! Any ideas or suggestions of things that have worked well for you would be very welcome. thank you
AnonyMouse_2732 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 A lovely mess of sand/peat/used tea leaves/whatever, with 'buried treasure' accompanied by magnets on string to find them? Then later when all has been revealed, discuss why some items were discovered and some weren't. 1
AnonyMouse_19762 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 We have done the above and used shredded paper - great fun - but gets everywhere and sticks to clothing and hair!
AnonyMouse_19782 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 in our builders tray this week bee bots. Masking tape lines, bee bots have to travel along the lines, children make guesses how many times to press the buttons to get them across to the other side. Last week, sand with glitter flakes in and sieves etc. Next week, possibly water and boats, float and sink. We have quite a deep builders tray. A couple of weeks ago we had paper in the bottom, golf balls and then put blobs of paint for the balls to be rolled through - lovely big piece of art work to compliment the children's own marble artwork in small cardboard boxes.
Guest Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Such fantastic ideas - thank you everyone. Please keep posting - I am compiling a list and I'll post it on here when it's finished
