AnonyMouse_2732 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Hello all! My friend (an experienced early years practitioner in England) is looking to move to Wales and is researching the Welsh Foundation Stage, which appears to cater for children from 3 to 7. We can't find much specifically for under Threes, so I wondered if anyone could throw any light on this area for us, for example - is there any guidance at all?. Thanks Sue x
AnonyMouse_2732 Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 Correction, she is researching the Welsh Foundation Phase. She is moving to join her boyfriend/partner, who has recently started a great new job there - they hope to live in/near Carmarthen.
AnonyMouse_2732 Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 Ha ha! You immediately homed in on the big problem!!
AnonyMouse_2732 Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 But, I am now interested - is there any guidance in Wales for under-threes...... anyone????
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I've been having a look and have to conclude there are no under three's in Wales! Or if there are they arent catered for as far as a framework is concerned
AnonyMouse_2732 Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 That's my conclusion..... I suppose should she manage to learn Welsh my friend could use BTTM and amaze everyone!
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 my friend managed to get a job in a sen setting even though she didn't speak welsh.....apparently it was more important that she had some experience of sen.
