Guest
I am looking for songs that would be suited to the topic of machines. Machines ... on the road ... in the home ... machines of the past ... in the office ... machines in space; - any suggestions?
AnonyMouse_26037
Not sure it's a song exactly but do you know 'My name is Joe' - an action chant which my children loved last year. Much hysterical laughter from all and they went home and taught it to their parents and older brothers and sisters!

AnonyMouse_26037
I didn't know it was Michael Rosen! I got it from Singup and they remembered the words no problem - just the odd prompt for which part of the body was pushing buttons next. They particularly loved doing a 'cool' pose for the "I said 'yo'" line!
Guest
Great! Have you ever seen Michael Rosen perform the song? He's just amazing! Many years ago, I used to sing a song with the children about a bicycle but I can't remember the words! The first (or maybe not the first) line went something like ... I can ride my bicycle, Up the road and down. Can anyone supply any more words? It also included other forms of transport - a bus and a motor car? I can drive my motor car, Sometimes fast then slow ... ??? So frustrating when you have only pieces of the song in your head!

You might have trouble finding Michael Rosen on utube - I'm sure I have tried in the past with no luck. I have the clip on a dvd from the ECaT project - it's called : Every Child a Talk: An audience with Michael Rosen (National Strategies) - he also does The Bear Hunt and that's pretty amazing too!
