AnonyMouse_15046 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 A friend has just sent me a link to a wonderful Facebook Page called "Stress Overload at School". https://www.facebook...01041972&type=1 There are some pictures across the top of the page and as you scroll through them they are annotated with really good information about how children with sensory processing difficulties may experience a school setting and what can be done to help them. It is also relevant to Early Years settings. It would be very, very helpful if those of you who work in schools could share the page with other school staff. Many parents of children with ASD find it very hard to explain to teachers that, although their child appears to be coping fine in school, their experiences in the school environment are causing unmanageable anxiety and meltdowns at home. The parent is often blamed for being over anxious themselves or told that their behaviour management is the problem. 6
