I couldn't find any tweets from his followers either, not a twitter! I'm going to ask my MP or even the police for information. He was convicted in a Warwickshire court, the primary school he taught in is in Wellsbourne which is a quick jaunt up the m42 for us. Need to check some details first.

He has to have any internet use monitored by the police because the sparkle ox site had a blog where teachers were putting pictures of children in the classroom. Sparkle ox was taken over by a family member and CEOPS declared schools could use the site by maintaining their usual risk assessments and by following their LA rules. I can't find anything after 2010.

I'm away this weekend chaps, but I've been asked to point out that letters-and-sounds.com is entirely unrelated to Samuel Kinge, and is a well regarded site with many free, creative commons licensed resources.

I think we possibly need to calm down a little bit here, or things could get out of hand. :1b

Well that is very good news! :1b

Absolutely. Just to make it clear lettersandsounds.com appears to be dormant (or is at least unavailable at the moment). http://www.letters-and-sounds.com on the other hand is an active and well regarded site. We don't advertise on the FSF but I'd like to recommend that anyone reading the earlier posts who might have been confused visit the link above to satisfy themselves (and why not pop in there anyway). This website is unconnected to Kinge or Sparklebox.

Gosh. I'm so sorry. Whilst the link I gave is accurate, I had no idea there were two sites with such similar names. I should have known better than to let my personal feelings and issues cloud my judgement. I'll need to go back and look at what I said just to make sure my language wasn't inflammatory. If it was I'm sorry.

It is only a technicality to say that I haven't suggested the letters-and-sounds.com website is owned by Kinge, and I am genuinely feeling physically sick to think of the damage that I might have done to an ethical, honest business. Unforgiveable.

I can only apologise to everyone. I am a very loyal person and am very supportive and protective of the Forum I am so sorry to have involved the FSF in all this. I wouldn't have wanted to harm the Forum's reputation for anything, and I can't bear to think I've let you all down.

Maz, dont beat yourself up. Mistakes happen, we are only human.

But everyone must make their own minds up about what or who they support and we as individulas can not take responsibility for other peoples actions only our own. What one person finds abhorent someone else may find tolerable.

Maz please don't feel like that - I'm actually exceedingly grateful to both you and Rea - I am not particularly 'techno savvy' (sure you have worked that one out for yourselves  ) and I actually need a reminder to 'think' about what I'm doing online......

Big hug headed your way xxx

Very pleased that you have cleared that up Steve ...and my apologies for mentioning it!....it is clear if you investigate a bit further that there is no connection. I do however suspect that there are other sites Kinge and his Father are running as their business is now worth around 500K ...guess if you are concerned that you should check out who is behind resource sites (as this seems to be their specialism!)

Have a lovely weekend Steve...this is the last you'll hear from me on this subject! <_< :(

Not at all Maz - you've never let the Forum down and I'm sure all regular members here will vouch for that. :)

Let's all have a lovely weekend - the sun's shining in South Wales, hope it is for the rest of you! :1b

Maz, I couldn't have put it better, in fact I was trying to find the words.

When I got up this morning I decided while getting on with some jobs, that so far as I could find out, kinge wasn't breaking any laws. Police have to monitor his internet use and a judge agreed he can use it for business. I wish there was a way to find out if he owns or benefits from any other sites though so I can avoid them, but as I don't tend to use many its not a huge problem personally, I just wish people wouldn't use the one we know about.

I too am very sorry if I've dug too zealously and caused anyone to panic. I promise to think before I speak in future.

This has been VERY interesting reading, and I'm all for a bit of well-placed panic - just good to have things cleared up. BUT I'm finding it quite challenging seeing the forum pictures connected somehow with the convict. Can see why they caused so much of a fret.
