AnonyMouse_4869 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hi, I really want to include a 'make your own playdough' station for the children in YR. But in order to do this I need a no cook recipe that would be manageable for them - anyone got one????
AnonyMouse_11396 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hi Lucie "imagination tree" have one. If you also type in no cook playdough there are plenty of suggestions, most are suitable for children to try.to do. Hope it's fun.
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 All the no cook recipes I have seen use boiling water , so would need supervising well, the adult would have to do that part.. here is the imagination tree one.. I used to have one without boiling water but cannot find it... it did not keep longer than a day or two but worked .. if I find it I will return,,,
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 This one is similar to the one I used... think we had half the quantities though and the water can be hit and miss a bit, depending on the flour, but we added more flour if it was a bit 'wet' I found this lovely pinterst page that may be worth a look at .. here
Guest Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I saw this recipe online the other day. Its called cloud dough 8 cups flour 1 cup baby oil and that's it. I haven't tried it yet but am going to give it go soon.
AnonyMouse_25331 Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Hi there, We do this - the recipe we use is 1 cup salt 4 cups flour 1 cup water splash of food colouring. I have made a pictorial recipe card Our playdo recipe.docx for the chldren (2-4) and although there is usually an adult on hand, they can manage to make this quite independently - and it makes brilliant playdough which will last a while in a plastic tub. Have fun!
