Continuous Provision

Hi! This is my first post - I have spent most of the last week looking through all the posts in the forum. It's nice to know we're not alone! This year I have changed the planning to formally include continuous provision (we had it before but there was no planning just a list of the areas). I'm still trying to work out how to organise and plan it effectively- I wonder if anyone can help. Do you leave the same resources in an area all day? Is a yearly long-term plan that covers the learning that might happen in the area ok or should it be changed every half-term? As we do CCL and MD in the mornings, my afternoons cover one/two focused activities from 1 area of learning. At the moment I include teacher initiated activities that are linked to the focused activity. Is this what other people do? If not, how do you do it? How do you plan for it? I hope someone out there can help. Thanks.
