New (academic year) resolutions

As this post has been resurrected I looked back on mine - ho hum some things never change - this time last year I was tidying the hall ready for the new year as no cleaners have been in over the summer hols.

This year - no cleaners have been in over the summer hols !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and whilst they have not had the party lettings the hall has been used at least twice a week by other organisations SOOOOOOO this week (as well as doing shedloads of paperwork at home) I found myself giving the loos a complete clean including getting down on hands and knees to scrub the loo floors - delightful job especially as cleaning up stuff that wasn't even generated by the children or staff yuk post-9650-0-75029500-1409261710_thumb.jpg

I am working on the hope that at least when we start back next week we will not be on the back foot so to speak with paperwork up to date (questionable) and hall sparkling and clean (possible) then and maybe only then can I try again for the forthcoming year to DO LESS AT HOME xDxD

xD think there already are some - isn't that when we need to start doing a new Reception baseline?

September 16. July 16 is last year of EYFSP and after that you can test children all you like in as many inappropriate ways that there are.

I shall be writing the baseline test that will make my fortune.

I shall also be planing how to reduce work in a years time and start to build a freelance business. Anyone want me?

Cx

We have moved during the holidays and have spent many, many hours alone getting everything ready, feel quite emotional now that it is finally done and cannot wait for the children and parents to arrive tomorrow. My resolutions are...

1) To man up, and if I see staff chatting and gossiping through the session to tell them to stop, instead of tying myself up in knots about the situation. To get on some management training that will help me achieve things like this.

2) To delegate more.

3) To stop worrying about everything, most of which never actually happens.

4) To spend as much time on this fab forum as I can get away with.

Failed on all resolutions except spending time on the forum!

As a committee member - to be firm but fair with the staff at playgroup, start as I mean to go on, and support our Chair on her return from compassionate leave.

Possibly start working at playgroup and make positive changes in the build up to Ofsted.

Get a grip on the SEF, development plan and quality plans.

Convince the committee that we need to purchase Tapestry and that we can have internet access by using MiFI (only found out about this today, so very excited!!)

Oh, and not cry when my son starts school tomorrow x

No! I was absolutely fine about it all (second born and all that jazz...) Putting his uniform on was the big 'Oh' moment this morning, but he went straight into the cloakroom and didn't even look back. Not bad considering the school doesn't have a nursery, so he hasn't been used to that environment, he's just gone straight from playgroup. The house has been very quiet today though :-)
