Theorist's

This is not based on any theory, but there may inclusion issues with children of parents who don't want their child to take part in Forest School activities which involve a higher degree of risk, such as fire and tools (if used), and children with serious health problems, who get unwell in cold air.

Our group is outside in all weathers and have struggled with parents who think they know best when it comes to dressing a child, in spite of receiving information and reminders, and in many cases even being spoken to. The child who needs to be helped to have layers added may feel uncomfortable because their parents got it wrong. Being outside in all weathers require thermal leggings, thick socks and insoles in wellies etc. I could probably come up with a theory on this, given the amount of thought I've had to invest in it!
