AnonyMouse_3139 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Our new committee are a fab bunch and next week they want to make cakes to sell at a Valentines party. One of our staff thinks we cant sell cakes made at home anymore and to be honest I have a vague memory about it too. So, can parents make cakes to sell or did the H&S rules change?
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Our local WI and others locally including the school and church still do this.. sell home made cakes.. they put a notice up about may contain nuts etc.. and thinking about it they sell home made stuff at the local coffee mornings , they are held in houses but different people do the cooking of the cakes etc.

AnonyMouse_15046 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I've just been recruited to bake home made cakes for the WI. They ask for a list of the ingredients but just on a sheet of paper, not on each cake and a clear warning about any that contain nuts. That's it.
