AnonyMouse_4869 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Hi everyone, looking for ideas to add a different dimension to pouring and filling so just thinking at the moment that a thicker liquid could work well, but I'm stumped. The target at the moment is to build children's arm muscles and hand eye coordination. Sorry for the quick post, any ideas?
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 we often use ublick in our water tray large quantities are great fun (TTS sell big bags) or cellulose paste for swamp mud or soap flake slime (great with small whisks to make big bubbles...that works well for shoulder movements and wrists)....or sunnyday has just posted about making clean mud (haven't tried that one yet)
AnonyMouse_19762 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Soap mud - grated baby soap, toilet roll torn into little pieces, boiling water - leave to cool (obviously) - lots of fun! :1b
SueFinanceManager Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 It is noisy but what about no water and use rice which is heavier....you need to work out what funnels etc it will flow through but different and good on cold days....dont get cold hands. You can buy bags of rice cheap at wholesalers if you have an account or get parents to donate out of date packets Sue 1

Love that idea. Did you just use packing polystyrene? Really want to do this, I know our big group of boys would love this activity. Edited February 6, 2014 by zigzag
