AnonyMouse_8885
Our cups seem to have disappeared over time and I need to replace them but I am having trouble finding them. We have cups with one handle which seem to work really well. Does anyone know where I can get them? I've googled it, but they seem to come up with ones with monkeys etc on, which is fine, but if I have 8 of those and 15 plain.... I can see the arguments now when I know how it is with pink plates!!!! I just want some plain ones.
AnonyMouse_19762
I will watch with interest - I am always on the 'look out' for new cups - ours came from Whittards years ago - really need replacing now but have never found anything as 'good' - they have one handle and a super wide base...... Steve
Can we assume you're talking about cups for your children, megamum? Not for you and your staff?
AnonyMouse_9650
The Consortium do these http://www.educationsupplies.co.uk/early-years/nursery-equipment/cups-and-beakers/polycarbonate-cups Alternatively we got ours from Wainwrights in our colours with our logo printed on them - they are very robust and dishwasher safe too http://www.wainwrightscreenprint.co.uk/mugs-and-tumblers.html They were so popular that we got them with an Xmas design one Christmas for Christmas pressies for the children! Edited to correct second link error - as spotted by Stargrower - Oops  Edited February 12, 2014 by SueJ
AnonyMouse_5970
We have The Consortium ones, and they're great. We have the plates etc in the same range and some of them are 10 years old!
AnonyMouse_5970
Hi SueJ You posted the same link twice. Would you be able to post the Wainwright's link? I'd love to have a look. Thank you! :1b

AnonyMouse_30128
why do you want cups with handles? just interested . We just use ikea cups....no handles though. I don't think many children drink from handled cups at home now do they?
AnonyMouse_1469
Ikea here too, replaced every year because of chew marks!
AnonyMouse_5970
We have Ikea ones too (and some of the Consortium handled ones). The advantage of beakers with no handles is that they stack...and we have a LOT of cups!
AnonyMouse_8885
Thanks everyone. In response to why handles? We have beakers without and ones with one handle. Our little ones seem to get on much better with the handle ones. Plus they seem to be easier for them when they pour their drinks - their small hands seem to hold the handle in one hand much better than without, and the jug in the other. There seems far less spills too with these. Older children are fine with either.
