Guest Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 My head wants a termly assessment of children working within/above age relate expectations and those below. How do you do this as children can be different for different areas of learning. Is it just mean to be a general gut feel thing? I looked at my baseline data, if anyone had 2 or more areas at Dev 22-36m or below I'd say they below age related. If at the 'expected' secure 22-36/emerging 30-50m or above in all but one area then I'd say they were at age related. Pls help.
Guest Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Prams would show you this if you used it it will show children working below or above, but I also think gut feelings play a part but your head would probably want data
AnonyMouse_29664 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Hi - can Tapestry do this as well? Or is Tapestry just a learning journal?
Guest youngrisers Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 any tracking system will show whether the termly assessment and rates of progression .we can see at a glance who is not making progress and we then can put interventions in to assist the child to move on. sometimes this can be a gut feeling that something is not right , other times there is clearer evidence from observations. Gut feeling has a lot to do with it as well as knowing the child
AnonyMouse_3307 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I'd just do the data for the 17 areas - it's just a summary of your tracking really! Cx
