AnonyMouse_31752
Hi all I thought I read somewhere that there was new legislation coming in saying we couldn't count unqualified members of staff as part of the ratio even if you have 50% or more qualified staff in as well? I now can't find it anywhere did I imagine this?
AnonyMouse_44476
I have never heard this! Surely they would have to change the eyfs or update it to introduce this as it's stated in there?x

Guest
You have not dreamt it! Check your EYFS 3.21 section under 'Staff Qualifications, training, support and skills' It says clearly: manager must hold at least a level 3 and half the staff a full and relevant level 2 at least You were right! AnonyMouse_44476
You can still count unqualified staff though Anee as long as more than 50% of overall staff other than manager are qualified!
