There is no way we can increase our fees by that much Ahhh well this was in the days before 2yr funding! Guest Posted March 27, 2014 Share Posted March 27, 2014 I think a lot of people get muddled by trying to give the free entitlement (to parents) a value. All the DfE guidance states the free entitlement has no monetary value. We advise our providers to sort parental bills as in the following example; Parent uses 30 hours per week minus 15 free hours = 15 hours to pay for at your, provider set, hourly rate. What the LA might fund you at is between you and the LA and not something this LA would share with parents. 2YO funding is a little different as the rate is fairly universal and centrally set by government (except when comparing London boroughs to the rest of the country) - the average appears to be £4.85 although we choose to pay £4.95 but the same principle would apply when billing for extra hours.
