AnonyMouse_1490
Does anyone know if the paediatric 12 hour training has to be all classroom based. I have found trainers who offer 6 hours online and 6 hours practical.
AnonyMouse_11396
I would check with your LA on this one. Ours has to be face to face training.
AnonyMouse_44476
We do 6 hours online and 6 face to face! As long as it covers the points in the St. John's ambulance / Red Cross paediatric first aid course it's fine. There's no requirement for the course to be 12 hours anymore like there use to be either!
AnonyMouse_5970
Ours is 12 hours face-to-face.
AnonyMouse_30128
i really believe this is one that i wouldn't stint on...it is about confidence using what you know...you should come out feeling that if someone dropped down in front of you (wherever you are) that you would know what to do...i don't think an online course does this

AnonyMouse_30128
you need my trainers (not the smelly ones by the door!) i use pre-med....they are based down south unfortunately you come out feeling empowered not scared as paul says (who runs it) the worst thing you can do is nothing at all! I would urge any of you who have had to endure the torture of boring irrelevant first aid training to give them a go they're fab
