Guest Posted June 5, 2014 Share Posted June 5, 2014 You could go on a listening walk...children wear big ears and you take them to different places and they have to think about all of the different sounds they can hear, could match up with pictures ie. birds, footsteps, water running. A puppet theatre...children take turns to watch and listen to each others shows. Make mystery noise boxes for use in a quiet area, CD player with stories, songs and books to match, a box of different instruments including some that make unusual sounds. Guest Posted June 30, 2014 Share Posted June 30, 2014 We have a wonderful Language Leader who has made lots of different resources sound bags, listening games, matching rhyme, you name it she's done it. there are lots of ideas online and you don't have to spend lots of money.
