Guest Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Are the reception 45 high frequency words still used? Thanks.
AnonyMouse_3307 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 In the context of meeting the ELG for reading and writing yes. Although from memory some were decodable anyway, like dad and mum. It's the common words that are phonetically irregular that are important. It may also depend on the phonics scheme you use throughout EYFS and KS1 as well - no good using them if the rest of primary use something else! Cx
