Good Level of Development

Well ..... It's that time of year again ...... Battles with assessment coordinators about the targets that will be set in yr 2 for children who achieve a good level of development in the EYFSP ......

Is anybody else finding the same?

Last years national was 55% ..... Are people finding they are above or below that this year? We were below last year (47%) and this year it looks like we will have 55%

Have others found there is an increase in this years?

We were 44% last year, think we are 53% this year.

Drives me mad how we have to justify our Expecteds in Literacy and maths to KS1. I think they want us to send them up low so it looks like they make lots of progress with them. We are at logger heads over reading bands. Our KS1 co-ord saying our Receptions need to be reading Blue to be expected! Our moderator said reading red was expected......
