AnonyMouse_3735 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I am acting as mentor for a student who came today and asked what is a spiral curriculum. She was sure I would know!! Help! not a clue..... so thought some bright spark here could point me in the right direction. many thanks Inge
AnonyMouse_2732 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I'm sure we all know what it is, but by a different name!! That's my excuse, because I've never heard of it!! When you find out, tell me please!! Sue
AnonyMouse_64 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Inge, I think it may be something to do with starting off with a 'base' of knowledge which you then return to time after time but build upon it, so that you gradually learn more and more. Perhaps some more knowlegable person will be along soon ........
AnonyMouse_79 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Just about got that Beau, at least from my understanding! Although need not nessarily have a large base of knowledge or skills but these are continually built up by revisiting and extending and consolidating. Hence a spiral!
AnonyMouse_2732 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I'm tempted to say, why not call it revisiting!! But it's not so snappy, is it? and probably doesn't suggest that it's a valid way of doing things as succinctly. Sue
