AnonyMouse_5970 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 We are celebrating our 10th birthday in early September. As well as all the fun we have planned, we would really like to make some kind of collaborative artwork that all the children can be involved with, but we're stuck for ideas. A couple of years ago, we did a felting project where all the children made a felt handprint which we then 'felted' into a felt backdrop and decorated. Something similar would be lovely, but needs to be appropriate for all ages and the numbers of children we have. We are a day nursery with about 90 children on roll aged from 6 months to five years, plus school children in the holidays. It would be good to get it started before the end of term as, although we're open all year round, lots of children will leave in July. The name of our setting has a bee theme, but any ideas welcome! Thank you! Quote

Guest Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 we made a fabric wall hanging when we celebrated 20 years. Each child had a square and some fabric crayons or markers and decorated it and we ribboned them together to make a large picture, staff and parents also did some squares. I can't find a picture of the finished article but we bought them from Yellow moon http://www.yellowmoon.org.uk/patchwork-wall-hanging Quote
