Please tell me you made that just now just for this thread! ;)

Just thought that would make a good addition to this thread!

Perfect! I think Cait should base her next trophy on Mr H!

Was wondering - do you think, instead of a Marquee we should have a seriously posh garden shed? Or maybe a treehouse?!

I didn't want to commit to too much until it had met with approval. I was hoping to find others so we could decide between them. There's some bizarre things when you google tinfoil trophy!

:o Well I have to say I am disappointed in you - along with Froglet I was sure that you had spent time on that just for the purpose of keeping us entertained

I know! I'm not sure some people are as committed as they could be! ;) I was planning to make a mock up of the entire set including the judges' shedlet when I got back from the weekend!

i have been busy on my fist entry...still needs some varnish but hows this for starters! can i use it as my application ?attachicon.gifDSCF0083.JPG

Terribly sweet Finleysmaid, I do feel that after years of not really being able to, shall we say, "influence" the creative side for children, most of my creative urges have been in making things for the group to use, or as gifts for the group at Christmas etc., it keeps me happy I get my fix when I need to, wasn't it SueJ that said she was collecting white stones washed up on the shore near her home - she would love to see these!

I think for my 9000th post I will start a thread for us all to post our artwork on, shall I?

They are really good, are you using them for storytelling?

thank you ...my first attempt

Yes i wanted some for the book corner for the children to use but also thought i might use them to support story time as i have lots of sen and eal little ones . I started to do some for going on a bear hunt but they are proving tricky because i was just trying to use the 'backgrounds' ...i was ok until i got to the snowstorm then got stuck as to how to do white on white! xD

I really fancy doing some on large paddle stones for the outdoors but can't get hold of any anywhere (my daughter and i were having coffee today in a cafe filled with them ,,,,nearly popped some in my handbag!)

great idea about the post cait...i'll have to think up something special!

think i would have used glitter in some form for the snow, or drawn a huge snowflake or two in silver for the snowstorm scene

yes think i've come to that conclusion too...wondered if it might not be 'obvious' enough for the little ones

How about a challenge 'make' a bit like ready steady, where contestants are given a few strange items and have to make something of them?

Would we have ready mixed or powder paint do you think? Anyone got a preference?

I have indeed spotted these - WOW Finleysmaid far too sophisticated for me - I have struggled to use permanent marker for numbers on one set and cheated using shiny fish themed stickers on another - although I must say that my varnishing skills aren't too bad - or is it that with clear varnish you can't see the mistakes :D

Cait please allow ready mix paint - I can't abide the smell of mixing powder paint especially the sulphuric stench of blue - also have I missed what PGA is?

thank you suej ...i'm not very artistic but ok at copying...the fox is a bit of an odd shape ! but like singing 3 year olds are every forgiving and tend not to pick fault with things so hopefully they'll enjoy them! (thinking i might make another set for our lending library)

I'm with you on the ready mix...banned powder paint from my setting a few years ago after an incident with a member of staff and a full tub of blue powder!!!!!

Perhaps we should have a quick fire round...a minute make like mister maker (he could be one of the judges!!...not quite up to the paul hollywood standard! )
