AnonyMouse_8885
After the year I had with false allegations, and little support from anyone (committee or county) I have decided to join a Union. It is a stressful time to be falsely accused of something you didn't do and going it alone is awful. It seems there is a current climate of people, (some parents and unfortunately staff) who think if you don't do it my way, or you haven't jumped high enough for me then I'll report you! I want to have support and most importantly legal representation should it happen again. I've read older posts on various unions. Can anyone who is in one recommend one based on experience of using it if needed please? I know Voice is for Early years. I'm also going to be going to battle with my Village Hall as they are having construction work and they expect the 2 & 3 year olds to use a portaloo in November, but I don't think a union will cover that as I know it is going to happen even though it hasn't started yet. AnonyMouse_19920
hi, i belong to unite - i haven't had to use them but was recommended to use them by eyst -they will support you with a local representative and also support you with other legal persons/ representatives etc.,- it also gives me personal liability insurance cover much like the cover that comes with the settings cover and there are lots of other benefits that you can use. there are different levels that you can use - you just choose which suits you best.
