AnonyMouse_13453 Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Please will you all vote for my son, Alan Faulkner-Jones? (And ask all your friends to, as well) http://3dprintshow.com/global-awards/inspirational-individual/ He has designed and made a 3D printer that will print human stem cells. They can take somebody's fat cell, turn it into a stem cell and then tell it it's a kidney, or liver or whatever cell, then print out (in the future, yet) a kidney, or a liver or whatever, so that it can be transplanted into that person and not be rejected. They can also print cells so that they can test drugs on them to see how they will react for a particular person. It's all mind blowing, and he totally deserves to win this! 6 Quote

He has graduated as a mature student with a first class honours degree in physics this year and is going on to Oxford University to do his PGCE next month. Hope he wins! 4 Quote
