AnonyMouse_6361
After going back to college (university centre) in 2006 to start the Foundation Degree in Early Years. I have finally met the basic requirements for teacher training (minus QTS Skills tests) B) . I now have my degree at 2:2, GCSE English A, maths C and science C. Next challenge is to pass the QTS skills test  and gain a place on teacher training. If only I could find the silly teacher who said that I could gain all the above qualifications (not skills tests) to go on to teacher training. Said teacher could do with a right telling off as they had no idea what I was capable of doing, after all we do say children develop at different rates. As a well know advert say good things come to those who wait! And the scenic route into teaching was a fab experience. I feel a better person for achieving my first set of goals doing it my way.
AnonyMouse_1490
Well done Beth. Its a good job that you had faith in yourself, unlike the teacher. My grandaughter left junior school as a slow learner. She has just had her G.C.S.E results 5 B's + 1 A*. Her senior school could not see why she had originally been graded as a slow learner.

AnonyMouse_6361
Yes Rea plus work, guiding and ballet class. And of course trying to find a full time (school day) job in a different school with no sucess. Thanks everyone, still not sunk in that I've got it all. Managed to find some resources to help me prepare for the skills tests.
AnonyMouse_1469
Congratulations. As someone who was told ( by father and some teachers) that I was stupid, most of my life, and now have my 2:1 degree and EYPS, i understand where you're coming from! Congratulations
