Guest sn0wdr0p
I don't do a SEF!!! Gave up years ago after endless phone calls trying to sort out a login problem. Didn't appear to do me much harm in my last two inspections.

Now to choose curtains and paint colours - I'm hopeless at the former - anyone want to come and help?!

AnonyMouse_26037
Love to - is cake involved? Of course! Specially as I've resisted baking anything other than healthy muffins all summer! I'm itching to make something. I'm contemplating miniature Key Lime pies for our INSET next Friday. AnonyMouse_26037
OK.... I am officially inviting you to our inset day!! What sort of colours do you like.? My minds on paint and curtains now :-) I like all colours (except orange) which is my problem! Every time I come up with a plan I change my mind! At the moment I seem to be going for calming creams, sludgy blues and sage greens (having just got rid of bright lime green, primrose yellow and terracotta - all on different rooms). I know this is going to sound weird but it's pattern and texture that bother me - the wrong ones make me twitchy!

Fully understand the pattern/texture thing! :-) My whole house is calming creams - personally I like to add colour in the accessories (nice and easy to change on a wim!! i like to change soft furnishing things around a bit summer/winter/Christmas .. I used to swap rooms around a lot too- but my poor husband got a tad fed up with coming home from work and having to look for the sofa, and started making 'fixated furniture units' so have stopped that now! Sludgy colours are also good in my book too!!! Xx
Guest sn0wdr0p
My husband and children say I am obsessed with cushions. Walls and furniture in my lounge are cream so I just change my accessories. I have just bought red and cream tartan cushions ready for my winter look. My next issue will be changing my Christmas decorations to match. I hate it when I have to put presents under the tree with paper that does not match. I make sure that those I wrap which match are put at the front. I know, I know how sad am I. Have I won? First person to mention the C word this year!

Do you twitch when people give you incorrectly wrapped gifts? :-). My family now compete with each other to get their cards displayed in certain rooms - only white or cream based cards can go in the same room as the tree!!! AnonyMouse_19782
My husband and children say I am obsessed with cushions. HOW COME MY COMMENTS HAVE ENDED UP IN sNOWDROPS BOX??? Makes complete sense, I change throws, cushions and accessories in the sitting room for summer and winter look and a Christmassy look too. But I have very old fashioned ideas about my tree, first it has to be real and second it has a completely eclectic mix of decorations on it because I buy my boys a different tree decoration each year, each one if I am lucky, reflects something which may have happened to them that year, i.e. a bottle of champagne in a bucket when one turned 18, Santa in a car when one learned to drive etc., given that they are now 30, 27 and 22, all the decorations can no longer go on the tree, just selected ones! so paper doesn't bother me when it comes to wrappings as when it come to that area of the room b***er all matches anyway! My sitting room is creams and browns Froglet, very calming earthy type colours, my cushions are of various textures, so velvet, afghan, satin etc. I love it, but not for everyone. AnonyMouse_26037
I do have to bear in mind whether it will all work at Christmas! Panders - they are colours I'm heading towards for my sitting room. I could cope with different texture cushions as long as there was nothing scratchy! In my defence it was about decorating and being just a little obsessive rather than the actual c word!
Guest sn0wdr0p
It sounds likely that I may have been one of triplets separated at birth. I let my boys buy one 'expensive' toy for the tree each year. SORRY about mentioning CHRISTMAS.

Guest sn0wdr0p
I LOVE real trees but my husband will not have them because of the mess. We have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves to go under the tree and comes out looking like a bush herself. I get my own way about every four years though. I am pretty good at sulking.
